He holds a Master of Science in Global Business from the University of Hertfordshire in the United Kingdom and a Master of Science in International Business Development & Consulting from Novancia Business School in France.

He joined the Martin Dow Group of Companies in 2016 after completing a structured orientation program in Marketing, Finance, Business Development, Human Resources, and Regulatory Affairs. In 2017, he assumed the role of Business Development Lead, launching eight new items for the Group by mid-2018.

Ali is playing an essential role in shaping the future of the Martin Dow Group, carrying on his father's vision by guiding the group's foray into further diversification through successful strategic acquisitions and flexible technologies. Besides dedicating his time to grow the business, Ali is deeply involved in Philanthropic endeavours, he has taken on roles in 3 leading Healthcare institutions. He is the Core Committee Member of the Shaukat Khanum Karachi Project, a Member of the Fund-Raising Committee at The Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) and a Trustee at the Memon Health & Education Foundation supporting and ensuring free quality healthcare service. He is also selected as the Youngest Global Leader from Pakistan for the year 2023 by the World Economic Forum.

With his impeccable leadership, he is now expanding the Martin Dow Group’s worldwide partnerships, talent development, and industry influence.

He has held key positions at a number of leading multinational and national companies, including Abbott Laboratories, Getz Pharma, Briogene, and AJ Research & Pharma (a Saudi Arabian subsidiary of the Al Jomiah Group), the latter two of which he served as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

To his credit, he has grown AJ Pharma from a start-up to a global company with a strong presence in both prescription and consumer health markets across seven ASEAN and GCC countries. Under his guidance, the Martin Dow Group continues to grow and set new standards of distinction across the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry in Pakistan and abroad.

He started his Pharma career in July 1999 from Sanofi, he remained associated with Sanofi for more than 7 years and progressed through various key roles within Marketing in Pakistan as well as in regional roles (for APAC region) based out of Singapore.

In March 2010, he joined AstraZeneca and progressed over a period of 4 years through various roles in Business Development, Strategy, and Regional Marketing, first in Pakistan and then in Dubai (UAE).

Before joining Martin Dow Specialties (Pvt.) Ltd, he worked at Abbott Laboratories for 7 years, initially in Pakistan as Business Development Director and subsequently as Director Marketing & Trade and then in Dubai as Regional Marketing Director for MEAP region.

Shahrukh holds a Master's degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Human Resources & Marketing. He is also a certified Leadership Coach from the International Coaching Federation (ICF).
